Meet the Dentist - Dr. Akira Nakada, DMD
Dr. Nakada utilizes his gentle
approach and excellent clinical skills to make you and your family
more comfortable than you ever thought possible.
Dr. Nakada was born in Japan and moved to the United States at the age
of 7. He lived in Wisconsin for eight years and then in Lexington
since 1993. As a child, he attended American schools during the week
and Japanese school on weekends. Akira is a true bilingual and able to
communicate in fluent English and Japanese.
Akira graduated from the
University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Class of 2005. He is a
member of the ADA (American Dental Association), the KDA (Kentucky
Dental Association), the Bluegrass Dental Study Club, and the American
Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Nakada is
skilled in many aspects of dental procedures. In addition to a busy
professional life, Akira enjoys working with computers – especially
playing games. He builds computer systems. Akira also served as a
technical advisor for the dental school class for all 4 years.
“I have two passions. One is to provide the best possible care for my
patients. The other is to continue advancing my knowledge and skills.
This is an exciting time to be in dentistry. We can do so much more
for patients now and with much more comfort. I love being able to give
my patients great results in only 2 or 3 visits.”
