Perfect teeth in five easy steps.

CEREC is sophisticated computer-aided system for producing durable high-quality ceramic restorations. It is simple to use, fast and conserves the natural tooth. CEREC is ideal for patient who want an authentic tooth-colored alternative to amalgam or gold. In many cases, CEREC allows tooth restorations to be completed in a single sessions - without impressions, temporaries or long wait periods.

  1. Before treatment starts, your dentist will inform you about all the benefits of CEREC.
  2. The first step is to remove the dental caries and/or the existing filling. The CEREC measuring camera then takes a three-dimensional photograph of your tooth.
  3. The contours of the ceramic restoration are designed on the computer monitor.
  4. CEREC automatically mills the restoration out of a tooth-colored ceramic block.
  5. Finally, the restoration is inserted in to your tooth and polished. The finished ceramic restoration looks and feels exactly like natural dental enamel.

CEREC digital impressionDigital Impression

After examining the tooth and determining the course of treatment, we will prepare your tooth for restoration, similarly to traditional treatment methods. Your prepared tooth will be coated with a safe, tasteless powder. CEREC then uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to create an optical impression. This digital image replaces the physical impression required in traditional procedures. No more long waits while a tray of impression goop hardens in your mouth.
